Trick-or Treat

It was another successful Halloween with handfuls of candy and once again winning the ward costume contest. Axel wins every year but i am able to take credit for it because it is my creative genius that put his Mad Hatter Costume together. Ky kept changing his mind about what he wanted to be so we finally decided that Woody from Toy Story was a good option. Evie and the other little neighbor girls her age were all troll dolls with little jewels in their belly buttons. Most people had no idea what they were, but thought they looked cute. In the dark, no one could tell she was a girl and kept telling me that he was so handsome.. mostly they liked that she had bright pink hair! We had lots of fun being together as a family.

I love HA-Ha-HA-llo-weeen!

We have never been to the pumpkin patch as a family and I really wanted to go this weekend because it was Axels weekend off. So we headed out early Sunday Morning. Kylin immediately went straight to the patch to find his pumpkin and while I thought he would be drawn to the huge ones that axel would have to carry to the car, since we didn't bring a stroller or bags or anything to carry our findings in, he stuck with the little ones. He was being such a good big brother and giving Evie each of the ones he found for himself, which she could not carry and ended up sitting on. Evie was much more interested in the dirt, and after poppin a squat on her pumpkin, took to rubbing her hands around in the dirt. Axel found the "perfect" pumpkin that was really odd shaped, but he said it would make the perfect skull. After picking, we headed over to the petting zoo, where the kids got to touch chickens, goats, sheep, and bunnies. we had a lot of fun being together as a family!

How the time does fly!

I can't believe my son is already four, it seems like I was just pushing him out.. oh wait I didn't do that. Anyway, time is going so fast. It makes me sad! I wish they could stay little forever, but I know each stage of growing up brings something new and exciting and for this I am grateful.
Taking after his mom, and being a great panner, Ky knew exactly what kind of party theme he wanted this year. Though every year he asks for a Halloween Party, for fear of not getting one because his birthday is so close to this excellent holiday, after being convinced he would receive both, chose to have a SPY party. Upon arrival each agent was issued a disguise to wear throughout the party. It seemed only fitting that secret agents get some training while at the party so we set up a fun obstacle course for them. They started out by placing each foot into the baby inter-tubes on the ground, then had to crawl through the tunnels and run around a chair. The kids had a lot of fun with this. Next, it was on to cake and ice cream. The masterminds Michelle and Miah did it once again and made a sweet bomb cake for Agent Diaz. It was complete with the animated cartoon characters from "Spy Vs. Spy," that they show on MAD TV, each holding bombs behind their backs! It was to no surprise, an amazing cake. Following this we had a water bomb and squirt gun fight, which was defiantly the hit of the party.
